This itinerary has the benefit of being navigable year round, and according to the seasons, you can practice various sports. The 360° panoramic view over the entire Aosta Valley and on the highest summit in Europe is surely one of the best that you can imagine.

On reaching the region of Ozein and leaving the car in the parking lot, enter the itinerary n. 8 that, following the asphalt road and cutting some turns, leads to the hamlet Chanté. From here, continuing in the forest, you reach the Ruy region. Above the alpine pastures, you enter the gravel road that leaves it, after a few hundred meters, turning onto the path on the left for the Alps of La Pierre. Now, continuing along the same route, you reach the crest corresponding to a hill and entering the trail n. 1 on the left, you reach the Pointe de La Pierre. Continue following the same crest and you arrive at the highest point, the Punta del Drinc.

From this point you can admire the entire depth of the Valley of Cogne with the Gran Paradiso, the Monte Bianco, the Grand Combin, the Cervino, and the glacier of the Monte Rosa but also Aosta in its basin. The descent is made following the same itinerary.
